I recently received a sample copy of the following book from
Wadsworth Press: "How to Succeed on a Majority Campus: A Guide for
Minority Students," by Levey, Blanco, & Jones (1998). Although it is
written for students, it might provide you with some fodder.
On pp.125-126, the following 2 references are given, which might
prove helpful:
- Allen, W. R., Epps, E. G., & Haniff, N. Z. "College in Black
and White: African American Students in Predominantly White and in
Historically Black Public Universities." Albany, State Unviersity
of New York Press, 1991.
- Ponds, A. W., "Black Students' Needs on Predominantly White
Campuses." In D. J. Write (ed.), "Responding to the Needs of
Today's Minority Students. San Francisco, Jossey-Bass, 1987.
