 Duties:
                  Performs instructional duties in the Reading and Study
Skills Center.
                  Instructs cadets, staff, faculty, and other authorized
personnel in
                  reading and study skills. Develops lesson plans and
materials. Utilizes
                  computers for instructional purposes. Tests and evaluates
student
                  performance. Instructs within the established framework
for courses.

 Qualification
 Requirements:
                  BASIC REQUIREMENTS: (a) Degree that included or was
supplemented
                  by major study in education or in a subject-matter field
appropriate to
                  the position; OR (b) Combination of education and
experience - courses
                  equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter
field
                  appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience
or additional
                  course work that provided knowledge comparable to that
normally
                  acquired through successful completion of the 4-year
course of study
                  described in (a).

                  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition to meeting the basic
entry
                  qualification requirements, applicants must have two years
of
                  progressively higher level graduate education leading to a
Master's
                  degree, OR Master's or equivalent degree, OR one year of
specialized
                  experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level.
Specialized
                  experience: Experience that demonstrates knowledge,
skills, and
                  abilities to provide instruction in reading and study
skills, develop
                  lesson plans and instructional materials, evaluate student
performance.

 (KSA's):
                  Candidates will be rated on their possession of the
following
                  knowledge, skills, and abilities. Candidates must address
each of the
                  KSAs specifically on plain bond paper and submit it along
with the

experience,
                  education, training and awards as it relates to each KSA.
Since you will
                  be rated based on your possession of the KSAs listed in
this
                  announcement and a ranking determination made which
affects your

                  KSA 1: Knowledge of the theories of learning and reading
