COORDINATOR (INTERNAL UNIVERSITY TITLE: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR)

Enrollment is 36,000 students in undergraduate, masters, and doctoral
programs.
POSITION VACANCY
* Coordinate all aspects of SARC's Tutorial Program.
* Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise peer tutors.
* Implement tutoring services and programs to maintain CRLA
certification.
* Serve as a liaison with college faculty and departments,
enlisting their aid in securing qualified tutors.
* Manage resources for tutoring including textbooks, study guides,
software, solutions manuals, and other tutoring aids.
* Advertise tutoring schedules to students, administrators, and
faculty.
* Create flyers and coordinate e-mail to faculty.
* Evaluate tutorial staff.
* Conduct evaluation of the tutorial program.
* Implement on-line tutoring program.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the SARC Director.
* Provide monthly, semester, annual reports and supporting
documentation as required.
* Provide supporting documentation for unit reports.
* Attend UCF meetings and manage daily operations of SARC in the
Director's absence.
* Assist director with budget and provide budget projections for
the tutoring and ISS programs.
* Assist with managing, hiring, supervising, and evaluating SARC
personnel.
* Conduct annual staff retreats to facilitate departmental
planning and quality management.
* Facilitate SARC outreach presentations and services for
students, faculty, and administrators.
* Articulate unit, division, and university mission, goals, and
objectives to SARC personnel.
* Participate in UCF orientation and advise new freshman as
needed.
* Provide leadership to the SARC Student Advisory Council.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree completed by time of hire in an appropriate area of
specialization from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience.
Experience with the coordination of academic support services, tutorial
programs, and development and facilitation of academic workshops.
Experience working with Supplemental Instruction programs and advising
first year students. Candidate should have experience in
administration, program evaluation, supervision, and training of staff.
SALARY
$32,000.00 - Negotiable.
