The 12th Heartland Records and Information Management Seminar will be
held in Kansas City, MO on May 8-9, 2002.
If you have previous experience in making presentations on records and
information management subjects and are interested in being considered
by the seminar committee as a speaker, please e-mail me at

"Presentation Application" information.

The seminars three tracks are:
1. Basic Records Management
This track will be for those that are new to records management or want
a refresher. Possible subjects for this track include: conducting
records inventories, filing systems, developing retention schedules,
legal research, basic micrographics.
2. Advanced Subjects
This track is intended to cover a variety of subjects that are
management oriented. Subjects such as: risk management, forms
management, personnel management, vital records protection, disaster
planning and prevention, policy development, e-mail policy.
The technology track would cover such subjects as: XML, Bar-Coding
Systems, Web Records, Electronic Imaging, RIM Software, Electronic
Records, Hybrid Micrographics/Imaging Systems, Electronic Forms.
