Call for Proposals:
Graduate Teaching Assistant or Adjunct in Women's Studies
Fall 2003 Spring 2004

Deadline for Receipt of Proposals: Thursday, October 31, 2002

The Center for Women's Studies and Gender Research is pleased to solicit
course proposals from graduate teaching assistants or adjuncts. These course
proposals may come from any discipline, and should be planned for the Fall
2003 and/or Spring 2004 semesters. The proposed course will be listed under
WST 3930, an undergraduate general rubric for discipline-related gender
studies courses (courses currently being offered, for example, include: A
History of the Goddess). We encourage you to check out the CWSGR web site
for more information about courses at http://web.wst.ufl.edu/ . Applicants
must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program at UF or have a Ph.D. in a relevant
discipline.
Below you will find a checklist of the requirements for the proposal. Please
provide us with the following:

1) a detailed syllabus
2) a clear one-paragraph course description
3) a CV

The syllabus should encompass the following:

1) the course s objectives should be clearly stated
2) the syllabus should reflect rigorous academic content
3) assignments, papers, exams, and a list of required texts must be included
4) a week-by-week general outline

Your CV should reflect your experience in the area in which you propose to
teach, either in coursework, teaching experience, or both. These proposals
will be reviewed by the Women's Studies Curriculum Committee. Our decisions
will rest on the quality of the proposals but will also depend on budgetary
constraints, and will be balanced with other course offerings.

Please send your syllabus, course description and CV to:
