7. GATOR CONNECTION SEEKS INPUT: We REALLY need your help! Planning is
already underway for 2002 Gator Connection, a rockin' pep rally where
students can get connected to their school, fellow student and friends and
learn (or re-learn!) some of UF's traditions, like cheers you need to know
at all the athletic events, the Alma Mater, and of course, "We Are the
Boys"! Gator Connection is the first Friday of the fall semester, just
before Gator Nights on the North Lawn outside the Union. There have been a
few preliminary meetings, but we need student input. Visit
http://www.union.ufl.edu to review the specific questions and how to
submit your ideas.

family about their wishes to be a donor. The Get Carded Fair will be held
Wednesday, April 17 from 9 am to 3 pm on the Reitz Union North Lawn. Get
Carded staff and professionals will be on hand to distribute donor cards
and talk to students about donation. Free food, drinks and prizes will be
available! Get Carded is encouraging UF to GO GREEN with UF's first
"Living Green Ribbon" on Thursday, April 18 on the Reitz Union North Lawn.

11. APPLE-FOR-YOU: The Dean of Students Office and the Campus Diplomats
are sponsoring the Apple-4-U faculty appreciation program. Show your
professors and teaching assistants how much you appreciated their hard
work this semester by sending them an apple-shaped stress ball with your
personally written note of appreciation attached! Tables will be in
Turlington Plaza and the Reitz Union Colonnade periods 3 through 8,
through Thursday, April 18. The Apple-4-U form may also be downloaded at
http://www.dso.ufl.edu/Diplomats/schedule.html and turned in at any of our
table locations.

12. STUDY ABROAD/ INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RECEPTION: The Dean of Students
Office and the Campus Diplomats are hosting a reception on Thursday, April
18, for those students who are studying abroad this summer or fall, as
well as for international students studying here this semester. The
reception will be held on the fourth floor of the Reitz Union in the
Arredondo Room from 6 pm to 8 pm. The reception will provide food and
refreshments as well as give students an opportunity to meet other
students studying abroad as well as international students from the
country they will be studying in. For more information please contact the
Dean of Students Office at 392-1261.

13. SENIOR CLASS GIFT: Seniors are being solicited for the senior class
gift as a way to leave a mark for future generations of Gators. Members of
the Class of 2002 have the opportunity to make a gift that will go towards
a "Legacy of Excellence." The legacy will help support leadership
opportunities for students, outstanding student programs, enhanced campus
facilities and help to create a better quality of student life on the UF
campus. In recognition of support, your name can be placed on a standing
glass plaque, which will be prominently displayed in the J. Wayne Reitz
Union. In the next few days, a fellow UF student will be calling to ask
for your participation and will tell you how to add your name to the
recognition plaque for the 2002 Senior Class Gift.
