1. DROP/ADD PERIOD: Students may adjust their Summer B schedule during
the drop/add period. Drop/Add with assigned times will take place on July
1st and 2nd. Drop/add closes on July 2nd at 11:59 pm. Students are fee
liable for all classes on their schedule at the close of drop/add.
Students may verify their assigned drop/add times by going to ISIS at
http://www.isis.ufl.edu. Wait lists are no longer available for any
2. FEE AND DEFERRAL DUE DATE: Fees and deferments are due to University
Financial Services by 3:30 pm on July 12, 2002. Make sure that payment or
deferments are received in University Financial Services by the deadline.
To see how much is owed choose "Account Summary" from the Financial
Information link at http://www.isis.ufl.edu. Fees may be paid by credit
card on ISIS - choose "Make a Payment."
3. DEGREE APPLICATION FOR SUMMER GRADUATES: Degree Application deadline
is July 3 in 222 Criser Hall, for students planning to graduate August 10.
4. GRADUATING SENIORS LEADERSHIP AWARD: Outstanding Student Leadership
Award for Undergraduate Male and Female Graduating Seniors: Students
graduating summer C with at least a 2.75 GPA are eligible for this award.
Applications are available from http://www.dso.ufl.edu and are due July 8
to 202 Peabody Hall.
5. S-U OPTION DEADLINE: S-U Option deadline for Summer B is July 10.
S-U Option forms are available in 222 Criser Hall. Subject to college
degree program and department guidelines, students may take elective
course work and earn grades of S (Satisfactory) or U (Unsatisfactory).
Once the S-U option is approved, students may not revert to a letter
grade, nor elect the S-U option after the deadline. To elect the S-U
option, students must obtain the approvals indicated on the form. They may
elect the S-U option for only one course each term; this option is in
addition to courses that are taught only on an S-U basis. Courses taken to
fulfill Writing and Math Requirement (Gordon Rule) may not be taken S-U.

6. CHANGED FINANCIAL AID HOURS: Student Financial Affairs in S-107
Criser will be open from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm weekdays through Friday, July

7. CONFIRMATION REQUIRED FOR RELEASE OF FEDERAL LOANS: All Federal
Direct Stafford Loan borrowers must confirm that they will accept loans
awarded to them before their funds can be disbursed. Complete this
requirement immediately if you have not done so, or your loan will be
delayed. Go to ISIS at: http://www.isis.ufl.edu, choose "Financial
Information," then choose "Financial Aid Direct Loan Confirmation."
8. EMERGENCY SHORT TERM LOANS: The Office for Student Financial Affairs
offers an emergency short-term loan. UF students can borrow up to $1,000
or the amount of in-state tuition to pay emergency educational expenses if
they are enrolled at least half-time and have a verifiable repayment
source. Applications are available at S-107 Criser Hall. Approval takes
about two to three days. Disbursement begins after the first day of
classes. Summer B/C 2002 loans must be repaid by 3:30 pm, August 1, 2002.
9. STUDENT EMPLOYMENT: Students who plan to work through Federal
Work-Study or the Other Personnel Services program must go to the Student
Financial Affairs Student Employment counter in S-107 Criser Hall to
obtain a work permit, or call 392-0296 to request one. To find a student
