EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

6. TRAINING FROM STUDENT HEALTH CARE CENTER: As summer approaches, we
are all looking for that fun job that requires us to be outdoors or around
children. The University of Florida Student Health Care Center offers a
wide variety of classes ranging from Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED
Training, and First Aid. If you are interested in being a lifeguard, camp
counselor, baby-sitter, or need training in first aid now is a great time
to get a jump start on your summer plans. Our CPR courses fall under the
American Heart Association and certifications are valid for 2 years. If
you complete the American Safety and Health Institute First Aid program
you will have a card valid for 3 years. Please visit our web site at
http://www.health.ufl.edu/shcc for prices and class times. For more
information please call 392-1161 x4283.

7. UNITY SOCCER TOURNAMENT: The SG Multicultural Affairs Cabinet
presents the 4th Annual Unity Soccer Tournament on Saturday March 16 and
Sunday March 17 from 10 am to 3 pm at Hume Field. If interested in having
your team participate, please fill out a form in the Student Government
office (305 Reitz Union) to the attention of Multicultural Affairs.

questions, call Olivia at 317-4884.

8. ARTISTS SOUGHT FOR SURVIVORS' ART EXHIBIT 2002: The Survivor's Art
Exhibit is a powerful show open to UF students and community members, men
and women, who have used art in their process of healing from
interpersonal trauma. They need not be professional artists, and art may
be shown anonymously. It provides the opportunity for survivors of
domestic violence, family violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, child
abuse, and other forms of interpersonal violence to speak out in a safe
way while educating the public. The deadline is March 8 for submissions.
For more information, call Deborah Hart at 336-8414 or Laurie Tucker at
375-3678. The show will be at the gallery of the Reitz Union from April
25 to May 9.

9. HOMECOMING/GATOR GROWL 2002 DIRECTORSHIP APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE:
Homecoming/Gator Growl is a great way to get real-life experience in your
education field and get involved on campus! 33 Directorships are
available including Public Relations, Sales, Marketing, Printing and
Graphics and Growl Head Writer. Applications are available in the Florida
Blue Key (FBK) Office (Reitz Union 312) and are due March 1 at 4 pm. For

this summer and fall, and all students are strongly encouraged to apply.

10. STUDENT READING COUNCIL OFFICERS SOUGHT: The Student Reading Council
is seeking students to run for positions on their executive board, with
numerous offices open for slating. For more information about how to get
