I am currently trying to come up with a good topic for my Master's Thesis in
Sociology. In my program, my areas of specialization are Organizations,
Economic Sociology and SNA. It seems to me that the study of Interlocking
Directorates fits well in all three of these areas. Also of particular
interest to me is the study of post-socialist societies. Having seen some
of Balazs Vedres' work on firms in Hungary, it is clear to me that this is
not a phenomenon peculiar to one particular set of circumstances.
Unfortunately, I am only in the initial stage of my research: finding a data
set and compiling a lit review. I would appreciate any of your guidance in
Department of Sociology
