Randall Collins has done some very interesting work on networks of
philosophers, et al., going back into antiquity, but I don't remember just

Was chatting with a friend yesterday, and the Q came up:
What scholarly research has been done re historical figures.
He was especially interested in the nets of Marc Antony (_not the fashion
designer_ but his predecessor).
Now must of us know thanks to John Padgett and the UCINet demos about the
Florentine nets of the Medici, et al.
Are there other such studies?
