Look in the in the MIS journals (and to a lesser extent management
journals) under diffusion of innovation/adoption of innovation
literature. You will see examples of adoption of medical practices,
adoption of software innovation, technology innovation, etc. where
they look at the source(s) of contact and spread of adoption.
