Project Director Position
The DEPARTMENT OF EPIDEMIOLOGY, MAILMAN SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH AT
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY invites applications for a Project Director of a
large-scale, longitudinal, National Institute on Drug Abuse funded
project examining infectious disease transmission risk among African
American women who use drugs in Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, and
their sex partners and other individuals with whom they use drugs (i.e.,
their risk network members). The successful candidate must be well
organized and responsible, with the ability to prioritize and manage
multiple assignments. At least one year of experience in epidemiologic,
public health, social or behavioral science research using statistical
computing software such as SAS or STATA is required. The candidate
should possess good communication, presentation and writing skills.
Experience supervising research and support staff is desirable. The
ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary
research team is necessary. Knowledge of drug use and HIV research
issues is advantageous.
A January 2003 start date is anticipated. The salary is commensurate
