RE: Deadline Reminder - Applying for Summer graduation

If you missed the regular degree application deadline, you may still apply
for Summer 2003 graduation with the approval of your department and college.
Submit a Late Degree Application form by WEDNESDAY, JULY 2 to the Graduate
School Records Office in 106 Grinter Hall. The form is online at
http://www.reg.ufl.edu/pdf/latedeginfo.pdf There is no fee, and it starts
the administrative process. The Graduate School reviews your file, the
Registrar orders a diploma, your name is included in the commencement
program, and you are given instructions for commencement by the Registrar
and/or your college. Some departments offer more than one degree, so if you
have any questions about the degree you are seeking, please contact your
department.

NOTE: Late degree applications will not be accepted by the Graduate School
after this date. Students who miss this deadline may "clear prior" for Fall
2003 and have the degree certified in December. See definition of "clear
prior" in the Graduate Catalog at
http://gradschool.rgp.ufl.edu/gradcat/2002-2003/regulations.html

You must always apply for graduation, even if you are not attending the
ceremony. Remember, a degree application does not "carry over" from the
previous term. You are required to reapply for the new term in accordance
with the published deadline. This is also the case for students approved by
the Graduate School to "clear prior" for the current semester.

For more information about this and other topics, see our new FAQ website at
