SMILES Interviewing Conference
Saturday, January 25, 2003, from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm in the Reitz Union

Would you like to improve your interviewing skills? Need to prepare for an
upcoming interview? Want to learn how to best market yourself at Showcase?

The University of Florida Career Resource Center will be conducting a
one-day Interviewing Conference (a free service provided to University of
Florida students and alumni) in conjunction with the SMILE (Sharpening My
Interviewing to Lure Employment) Program.

Practice and preparation are essential for interview success and the SMILE
Conference recognizes the importance of actively engaging students in the
art of interviewing. From the moment we see your smiling faces, you'll be
smothered with treats, attention, knowledge, sensitivity, and genuine care.
This dynamic one-day conference will consist of the following:

- Networking Exercises & Icebreakers
- Welcome/Opening Remarks: Enjoy an inspirational introduction to the world
of SMILE!
- Exciting Keynote Speaker: This motivational speaker will pump you up
about interviewing!
- SMILE Website Unveiling: Learn how you can access this interactive,
informative resource.
- Educational Tracks/Interviewing Workshops: These technique/strategy
sessions will provide something for everyone regardless of interviewing
experience.
- Door Prizes & Giveaways
- Certificates of Achievement: Adds great value to your resume by
showcasing your professional/personal development initiatives.

If you'd like to participate in this fun, interactive conference, please
refer to the SMILE web page at http://www.crc.ufl.edu/smile

We appreciate your patience as it will take a few moments for the web page
to appear. Then, you will be able to review an overview of the conference,
select your desired educational track (please select only one track), and
register for the conference by clicking on "Sign Me Up" at the bottom of the
page (deadline to register is Wednesday, January 22 at 5:00 pm). Once your
registration application is submitted, you will be contacted with further
instructions.

*** If at any time you wish to cancel your registration and you will not be
able to attend the conference, please contact a SMILE Conference Committee
Member (refer to contact information below). Due to limited openings,
failure to show up without canceling your registration by Wednesday, January
22 at 5:00 pm will result in the blocking/possible deletion of your
GatorTrak/On-Campus Interviewing account.

If you have any questions relating to the SMILE Conference, please contact a
