Library West construction/renovation to begin December 1

The much-needed addition to and renovation of the 35-yr-old Library West
building will begin on December 1, 2003. The parking lot will permanently
close at that time. The building will close on December 24. Library West
materials and services will either be retrieved by using an online form or
available at other library locations beginning January 2, 2004. Check the
construction update on the libraries' home page at
http://web.uflib.ufl.edu/pio/construction/  for accurate, up-to-date
information.

The construction update site includes links to an FAQ (Frequently Asked
Questions), Locations & Relocations, Progress in Photos, Architect's
Renderings, and Floor Plans.

Library West will reopen in January 2006 and feature increased seating,
enhanced computer facilities and 24 hour study area in a state-of-the-art
facility.
