1. HONORS ADVISER IN HUME EVERY FRIDAY: Marni Khan will do advising from 10
am -5 pm and brown bag lunch leadership programming on Fridays, starting

this Thursday to learn more! This will be our last activity together before
applications are due.

Where: Matthews Lounge, Reitz Union (First Floor, next to the Career

4. HAVING DIFFICULTY CHOOSING A MAJOR? Join other honors students
struggling with major or career decisions in a fun, interactive group. For
the first time, the Career Resource Center is offering an exclusive section
of its traditional 'Beyond Undecided' career group for honors students only.
The group meets four times throughout the semester on Mondays 12:30 pm -2:00
pm and will begin February 17, 2003. If you are interested, please contact

6. APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR FIRST YEAR FLORIDA PEER LEADERS (2003)!
Apply now to be a teaching assistant next fall for First-Year Florida, UF's
extended orientation course for new students. Paired with a UF faculty or
staff member, Peer Leaders help facilitate classroom discussions, conduct
presentations on course topics, plan out-of-class activities, and serve as a
role model for new students. Peer Leaders gain leadership and public
speaking skills, as well as the unique opportunity to teach undergraduate
students in a small classroom setting. Open to all full-time undergraduate
students with at least a 2.75 GPA. Applications and a selection timeline are

Florida. Applications are due to New Student Programs in Peabody Hall by

7. SHO's DANCE MARATHON TEAM: Come one, come all. If you're interested in
involved in SHO's Dance Marathon team, come out to an brief informational
session on Thursday Jan 9 at
8:00pm. The meeting will be held in Hume classroom 119. We will present a
brief explanation of the
exciting events and fundraising leading up to the Dance Marathon. If you
aren't interested in dancing,
there are still numerous oppotunities for you to be involved. So come on
out and see what it's all about.
