There is a program designed for grammar instruction for older students
called Diascriptive Language Arts Development.  It covers sentence
mechanics, sentence structure, nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives and

>Grammar checking software can be useful to people who have a thorough knowledge of grammar--as a reminder to pay attention to what you're doing, certainly not of what is correct.  For someone who doesn't, in fact, know the rules, it is a hinderance. Computers will have to get a lot more sophisticated before software can analyze language in the way grammar checking purports to do. I think it's an amazing scam.  I'm not talking about programs to help people learn about composition or even to learn about grammar...just the programs that are claimed to "check" grammar.
