To all GARC members:

There will be a Student Organization Fair at the Reitz Union colonnade on
Tuesday July 8th, 2003. from 10 am - 3:30 pm.

This event provides student organizations an opportunity to promote
themselves and increase membership.

GARC is very short on student members, especially over the summer.  It
would be great if some of the staff members could help out with
recruiting efforts here.

Can anyone help out at the org fair?   I hope two weeks is enough advance
notice to check schedules.  I need to know if anyone is willing to do this
so that GARC can sign up for it.

Other opportunites for recruitment and publicity are:
* Posting flyers around campus
* Advertisement in the Alligator
* Club meeting/event notice on housing channel 8
* Word of mouth
* Presentations about ham radio to classes, other student organizations
* Live demo on campus
* Radio interview on FM-- WRUF, WSKY, WKTK, etc.
* Open house at GARC club station

If you have other suggestions, please let me know.  Assistance is
requested for implementing suggestions as well.
