I have two questions for you all:
I noticed that with regard to roles in a network UCINET makes the following
distiction: coordinator, consultant, gatekeeper representative and liaison.
Although I see a match between those roles and the roles suggested by eg.
Allen (1977) and more resent Stephenson (1989), I am looking in the
literature for an article or othewr publication that validates the
particular use of the distinction made by UCINET.
Q1: Does anyone know of such an article and if so would he or she be so kind
to mail me the details on that work.
Q2: Has there been any research on the link between motivation (intrinsic
and extrinsic) and the role one fulfills within a social network.
Thank you for your help!
