Software Engineering handles many kinds of network diagrams (class diagram,
sequence diagram, collaboration diagram, etc). Maybe we may apply SNA to
Surely some network measures are currently used in SE.
For example, in "Object-Oriented Metrics, measures of Complexity" by Brian
Henderson-Sellers, Prentice Hall (1996), there is a [Lack of Cohesion of
Methods (LCOM)] measure. That means how class is cohesive. If cohesion is
very low, we would split that class into several classes.
And in "OO Design Quality Metrics, An Analysis of Dependencies" by Robert
Martin, there are coupling metrics. Afferent Coupling means how many
classes in other packages depend on classes in this package. (package is
similar to block.) Efferent Coupling means how many classes in this package
depend on classes in other packages. The notion like blockmodeling is used.
And there are other measures related to network.
Are there any explicit (practical or theoritical) examples or references in
this area (SE & SNA)?
I googled, but I couldn't find informations.
Thank you for any reply.
