On September 9, 10 & 11 the University of Florida will inaugurate its 11th
president, J. Bernard "Bernie" Machen. For a listing of events please visit

Part of the tradition of the inauguration is the installation ceremony
during which faculty of UF and alumni/delegates from Universities around the
world will join a processional at the beginning of the proceedings. The
event will take place at the Stephen C. O'Connell center September 10th. As
a graduate student this is your chance to represent your alma mater and take
part in this special occasion. Academic regalia is required and there is an
online-form that needs to be filled out so that your schools colors can be
ordered. For a complete set of Cap, Gown and Hood the rental cost is $50.00.
For the Cap and Gown only the cost is $29.00. As a delegate in the
processional you are invited to the Inaugural Delegate/Media Brunch from
9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at Touchdown Terrace, Enrobing from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. at
the O'Connell Center. The processional march will begin at noon.
