Try Google and search for the following, typed just like it is here:
adolescents smoking friendship "social networks"
You will get over 600 items that deal with these topics. Here are the
descriptions that I get for the first five items:
*...* *smoking* within and between adolescent *friendship* cliques.
*...* Cigarette *smoking*: why young people do it and ways *...* and
cigarette use among *adolescents*: Peer pressure *...*
Social Influence or Selection: Dynamics of *Friendship* Networks in
the Process of *Smoking* Initiation. *...* development of *social*
*networks* among *adolescents* in the *...*
An example is presented which illustrates the two-way influence
between *friendship* relations and *smoking* behavior of
*adolescents*. *...
**...* on which behaviors (ie, *smoking*, drinking, or *...* in
social network research among *adolescents*, Professor James *...*
and also studied how *friendship* social structure *...*
*...* Variability in cigarette *smoking* within and between
adolescent *friendship* cliques *...* The Company They Keep:
Relation of *Adolescents*' Adjustment and Behavior to *...*

Many of the things you find will be research reports. Note that two of
the first five are recent articles that appeared in Connections (and you
can access the full text of those articles from the INSNA web site).
Contact the authors of the pieces that look most appropriate for your
interests and ask them if they'd let you share their data. Hope that
ethics review restrictions won't get in your way.
Look at Connections 25:2, a special topics issue titled "Social Network
Influence on Adolescent Substance Use". Correspond with the authors of
some of the pieces that appeared there.
Good luck with your dissertation!
regards,
Bill
