They describe their Centering Resonance Analysis approach in:
Corman, S., Kuhn, T., McPhee, R., and K. Dooley (in press). Studying
Complex Discursive Systems: Centering Resonance Analysis of
Organizational Communication. Human Communication Research, 28(2).
The basic approach seems to be to link nouns and noun phrases (which
includes adjectives) into a network and then applies betweenness
centrality to score relative influence of words. Presumably, they look
for negation words/phrases that change meanings significantly.
