In response to the question of cross-platform tools:

For the Mac OS, Guy's work is at http://www.innovationinsight.com/networks.htm. Also, in response to cross platform tools, I often use Agna, which is based on a Java engine.

i'd love it if UCInet was crossplatform, but I'm relelgated to using it in Virtual PC. Ah, well.
