I'm embarking on a research study which will focus on the social networks of military families during the different phases of deployment (ie pre-deployment, during deployment, and post-deployment). My review of the literature to this point would indicate that there has been very little research conducted on the social networks of military families, let alone the impact those networks might have on perceptions of stress, well being and adjustment during the different phases of deployment.
It may be that there has been very little research in this area, but before I go making any bold statements to that effect I wanted to confirm whether or not any of the members of this list might have come across relevant studies in this area.
