I've been studying a LiveJournal "community" oriented to the broad
slash fan fiction community. They regularly spawn new communities
oriented to new television shows, new movies, new media
personalities, new character-pairings, etc. The key to identifying
them is to track comments people make to others' LiveJournal entries,
not LiveJournal's "friend" relationships.
cheerz!
