GARC members:
The club's Engineering Fair table is set up at the Reitz Union in the
Grand Ballroom. The E-fair is today from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM. After
the E-fair, the club meeting will be held in JWRU 288.
The E-Fair table is same place it was last year. The GARC banner and the
"Gator Nation" banner are on display along with a frequency chart, the
ARRL Walter Cronkite video, ARRL brochures, the GARC color brochures, some
QSL cards from the Lighthouse DXpedition, copies of this mont's Health
Science Center "Post" article featuring faculty advisor Dr. Jay Garlitz,
and some hurricane tracking charts. Lots of ham radio information.
Thanks to Woody W3HII and Gary KF4QEX for coming in this morning to get
the finishing touches on the table setup. Thanks also to K9PDL for
helping me transport the club's exhibition kit over to the Reitz Union and
help set it up.
If you have time today or tomorrow, please stop by and spend a few
minutes, a half hour, or an hour or more at the table. Bring your
hand-held radio because there is no radio equipment at the table this
year. Check in with the table on the 146.910 or 146.820 repeaters.
Also stop by the Small Satellite Design Club's table (nearby) and you'll
get a chance to see the 10 cm "cubesat" that is planned to be launched
into orbit with ham radio aboard.
