I'm afraid I can't offer you an integrated, end-to-end solution quite
yet. But what I can offer is the research project, "SNARF".
As a side effect, SNARF creates a database of email message headers on
the user's hard drive that can be opened in Microsoft Access. One
table of that database, entitled RECIPIENTS, stores the bipartite grah
from Message to Sender and Recipient. (Two other tables store
information about the messages and about the people). It should be
reasonable to convert this into a format that PAJEK or UCINET can
We haven't documented this process yet, but we're definitely
interested in helping researchers learn more about email.
