Thanks everyone for your responses to my query...I think Tim
makes a good point and it's something we struggled with in
terms of counting the number of students who use our
service. We used to only count students once, but realized
we were probably underestimating what we were doing. So a
student could have met with me indivually, attended a
worskhop given by another counselor, taken a math study
skills class, and worked in our lab and it would have only
counted as one! That seemed crazy to us, so now we count
the number of services a student uses. It would be nice if
there were a standard in the profession, but I don't think
this is something that we'd all be able to agree on! Happy
