For the record, the article on "Social Isolation in America" in the 
June 2006 American Sociological Review (full text here),

Miller McPherson of (as of press time) the U of Arizona and Duke U;
Lynn Smith-Lovin of Duke U; and
Matthew E. Brashears of the U of Arizona.

Matt Brashears is a PhD candidate in Sociology who has won graduate 
student paper awards from the Pacific Sociological Association and 
from the ASA Social Psychology Section.  His dissertation shines a 
light on reciprocal effects of attitudinal similarity and network formation.
