The front page of the Wall Street Journal featured a blurb about the
McPherson, Smith-Lovin, and Brashears study. I don't remember ever seeing a
sociological study featured there.
It is probably a combination of the importance of their topic with the
blessed alacrity of ASA in bringing good research to the broader public.
