Dear List Serve Members:

Wednesday, October 25 is the first day of a state-wide conference on sustainability, held at the Reitz Union. Could you guys self organize a Bio-Fuel corner? I'm imagining putting all the Dr. Wilkie-like, methane, water lillie, waste grease, recovered Chinese fry oil, research, academic, co-op activities etc., in one corner, so the audience can get a full experience of the breadth of the bio-fuel potential.

Exhibition tables are only $20, and we can, at this point, put you on the lawn or put you on the colonnade, as a group. I'm thinking it would be cool if we combined some of last year's small-scale demos with a full blown bio-fuel set up a-la Candace Schwartz, and maybe even have something run on biofuel, that the audience could smell. There should be 2,000 to 3,000 outside attendees, daily, during the conference, and we can make it a stopping point for inside conference attendees on their way to campus tours. We will do our best to provide whatever logistical, electrical, or electronic needs you might have to make this a unique, and mind-opening experience.

The conference will provide an outstanding venue for organizations to focus their public relations efforts on campus and community leaders from the Sunshine State. Many of the conference participants will be key stakeholders in the expanding effort to create sustainable institutions and communities in Florida.
