Subject: UPDATE: Florida Renewable Energy Grants Application Deadline Extended


The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is still developing the rules which will guide the Renewable Energy Technologies Grants Program and the Renewable Energy Technologies Grants Program for Bioenergy, and the grant program applications and substantive requirements are subject to change during that process. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback during the workshops and public comment period.



Initially, the Department had proposed a date of August 31, 2006 for submittal of grant applications. However, the Department is now proposing to change that deadline. The Department now proposes to issue a solicitation for grant proposals with a submittal deadline of at least 30 days from the posting of the solicitation. Please be advised, as the rule process is continually evolving, this proposal may change in the future. The solicitation will reference the final application form.
