I posted a few (too many) months ago a message on this list,
asking for references on affiliation networks / bipartite
graphs, for a work in progress with some colleagues.
We finally have a preprint of this work, which is available
at : http://www.liafa.jussieu.fr/~latapy/tmp/bip.pdf
It presents basic bipartite statistics for the analysis of
(very) large affiliation networks, in the spirit of what is
nowadays classical with average distance, degree distributions,
clustering coefficient, etc for (non affiliation) complex
We warmly thank each of you who helped during the process,
and all your comments on the preprint would of course be
more than welcome.
Also, though the two first authors are computer scientists,
we think this paper may be of more interest for social
scientists. We are therefore considering the possibility to
submit it to a social sciences journal, and would appreciate
your recommandations concerning this.
