We have some project that should be of interest to
folks on this list. These are all about combining
multiple social science disciplines to understand the
world.

Understanding the World Today

Bringing together knowledge of our social, political
and economic world. We have reports about global
social, political and economic change, data for
researchers, and links to research, reports, theory,
data and more.

Our Current Knowledge

This project presents a series of essays summarizing
our current knowledge about different global issues,
written by people with knowledge or experience in the
field. These essays are intended for the general
audience, so should be useful for anyone; students,
researchers, or anyone interested in finding out what
we know.

Cooperative for Public Understanding
http://home.earthlink.net/~know_act/
The Cooperative for Public Understanding (CPU) brings
understanding to the public, through knowledge, by:
1. Establishing a cooperative among public
knowledge based organizations.
2. Fostering communication among organizations, and
between the public and the organizations.
3. Presenting reports from these organizations,
summarizing critical global issues.

These last two projects are just now being developed,
and I'd like to hear from anyone who may be interested
in participating.

The first is well established, but I always appreciate
feedback and suggestions for links.
