A call to social network scholars also working or interested in philosophy:
We would like to put a session for the 2007 International Sunbelt
Social Network Conference 1-6 May, 2007 in Corfu, Greece, on a
philosophical focus in the research on social networks. This is an
opportunity for those interested in philosophy to increase their
social networks and exchange ideas and knowledge with others sharing
such interests. In fact, a motivation for such a session was the
philosophically informed discussion on the philosophical, theoretical
and methodological background of social network research that has
taken place in the SocNet mailing list during the summer of 2006.
So, if you are a social network researcher with philosophical
interests and you are thinking of participating in the INSNA
conference in Cofu, in case you are interested in our proposed
session, you may want to contact us so that we might organize it more
effectively. Please, note that the deadline for submission for the
conference is January 30 but we need to hear from you before then so
that we can organize a successful session on philosophy and social
networks research.
