Actually, with a new keyboard/mouse, you might not need to. Many new
mice and keyboards have both protocols built-in to them, and are
able to detect and use the right protocol on their own, so a simple
pin-to-pin adapter may well work.

Of course, this is unlikely to work for Nile's cast-iron clacker.
