turned up things which felt like a swiss-army-toolbox when I thought I
wanted a screwdriver. Your kind advice is well taken, but it sounds
sort of like "No, you need a swiss-army HUMMWV!", With all the
toppings. Don't get me wrong: I'm a nagios True Believer. But..

I'm going to go hide, and cook something up in shell.
