Advanced Social Networks Professional Development Workshop

Social network researchers who will be attending the Academy of Management
Meetings in Philadelphia this year may find the Advanced Social Networks PDW
of interest. The PDW will allow researchers who are currently engaged in
social network research, or who have specific plans to incorporate social
network concepts into existing streams of research, to interact with one
another. After a short overview of the ways that social network theory and
method are being used by management scholars, participants will break out
into discussion groups organized around topics of interest.
WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS: Please provide a brief description (50 words or
fewer) of your research interests as they relate to network analysis, along
with five discussants (listed below) whose work is most relevant to your

NOTE: This is an advanced social networks PDW, intended to allow researchers
who are currently engaged in social network research to interact with one
another. If you are not currently involved in social network research but
are interested in learning more about it, please look into the Introduction
to Social Networks Research PDW that is being held on Friday, August 3, 2007
