Mark you calendars!
** Thursday November 15, 2007 - half day Arc Hydro introductory seminar
presented by ESRI (UF Reitz Union, Gainesville).
** Friday November 16, 2007 - Arc Hydro meeting from 9am to 4pm hosted
by the UF Water Institute (UF Reitz Union, Gainesville).
Dr. David Maidment (University of Texas / Center for Research in Water
Resources) and representatives from ESRI will be attending the Arc Hydro
meeting and Dr. Norm Jones (Brigham Young University) will present on
Groundwater Arc Hydro.
Other attendees and presenters include managers from some of Florida's
Water Management districts who have implemented large GIS data models
and tools adapting Arc Hydro to handle their unique water resource
management needs.
The Water Institute will present a web-based Hydrologic Information
System (HIS) that provides geographically referenced hydrologic
observational data (e.g. surfacewater, groundwater, rainfall).
We hope to discuss how academia can integrate Arc Hydro and GIS networks
into water resources curricula.
The agenda is still being developed by the Florida Arc Hydro Users Group
(FLAHUG) to be announced by early October.
