All,
The Transportation Access Fee (TAF) Committee sets the TAF that students
pay and determines how the revenues are spent. In the next few weeks they
will be considering using some of these funds for bicycle and pedestrian
projects on campus. You can find the email addresses of the TAF committee
members below. This is our opportunity to express our opinion on how some
of our student fees are utilized.
Regards,
Brian

Subject: Today 3PM - Transpo Access Fee Mtg!
Transportation Work Group:
Per the discussion at our last meeting, I will be making a presentation to
the Transportation Access Fee (TAF) Committee today, 10/5, at 3:00 in 202
Tigert. This is the committee that sets the TAF rate that students pay, and
also determines how those revenues will be spent. I will be making a pitch
- on behalf of the campus master plan and sustainable transportation
interests - for some of that funding to go toward bicycle and pedestrian
projects on campus. I made the same plea last year, but was unsuccessful in
the face of rising fuel prices for RTS buses and renegotiation of that
contract. Hopefully, this year will be different.
Please attend the meeting to show your support - this is particularly
important for STUDENTS to show support, since its their money. I apologize
for the late notice, but I just got the confirmation yesterday. I hope to
see some of you there! If you cannot attend the meeting, please contact the
TAF committee members to voice your support, as they will be making their
decisions in the next couple of weeks. Please also forward this email to
anyone else that you think is interested. The TAF Committee members are:
