I don't have information on alpha-pinene emission rates for a pine tree,
and photo/phytochemistry is far beyond my ken.
Emission rates in general are subject to many variables:
Emissions vary with temperature, relative humidity, availability of
photosynthetic carbon (CO2) in atmosphere, and time of day; and by plant
species and by season/phenology (leafing out, blooming, setting fruit,
etc).
