Dear colleagues,
I am presently preparing my PhD on "Educational networks and Muslim
scholarly culture" in 19th-century India for publication.
I analysed the Ego-networks of a certain religious scholar, mainly focussing
on the question of opinion leadership in religious networks.
My questions are as follows:
1: Is there any specific literature on opinion leadership in religious
networks ( I traced one paper by a Pakistani religious scholar on the
opinion leadership of an imam in the mosque) - any comparative papers on
Jewish / Christian / Hindu etc.. Communities are welcome.
2. The scholar whose network I was analysing formed a troika / triumvirat
with two other important scholars of his time. Is there any specific
literature on "troikas" in networks? (Germany's modern politics were
influenced several times by certain troikas of opinion leaders)
3. "My" scholar tried to build a kind of "invented network" around him, in
order to link himself with a certain scholarly tradition. Can I find the
term "invented networks" somewhere else? (The term was first used in German
oriental studies by Werner Krauss for "invented religious networks" in
Indonesia) .
Thank you very much in advance!
Warm regards from cold and rainy Germany
