Sensitivity and Uncertainty Analyses of Spatially Distributed  
Hydrological Models at the forthcoming American Geophysical Union  
(AGU) - Joint Assembly, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 27-30 May, 2008.

Description:	 The output response of hydrological models to changes  
in input factors is often "non-linear", and therefore more global  
approaches are needed where the entire parametric space of the model  
is explored simultaneously for all input factors. Different types of  
global sensitivity methods can be selected based of the objective of  
the analysis, the number of uncertain input factors, the degree of  
regularity of the model, and the computing time per single model  
simulation. The incorporation of spatial variability and uncertainty  
of the model input factors in the global analyses is an additional  
and critical factor that must be addressed when dealing with larger  
scale hydrological models. This session seeks contributions from the  
hydrological modeling research and user communities to address the  
development, use and evaluation of global sensitivity and uncertainty  
analysis techniques applied to large-scale spatially-distributed  
hydrological models. We encourage presentations of state-of-the-art  
global sensitivity and uncertainty analysis techniques with emphasis  
on their applicability to spatially distributed hydrological models,  
critical reviews of existing techniques and comparison with local  
methods.
