I'm PhD student at the University of Bremen, Germany, and currently working
on a way to put two things in correlation: commitment and network frequency.
(By the way, I am also trying to figure out a way to expand this research on
different cultures and their distinctive characteristics, but this is
This means that I am going to measure on the one hand commitment (be it
affective, normative or continuous), by which an individual is bound to a
certain network and on the other hand the frequency and quality he or she is
acting within the network, i.e. making contacts, cooperating, supporting or
just lurking, maybe even resentments.
I am not too familiar with SNA tools yet, and the ones I have so far heard
of are UCINET, STRUCTURE and SNAP.
It would be great if anyone here could advise me which tool might be
suitable for my research, what might be things to keep in mind or articles
that hold some more information.
Thanks a lot in advance
