Health Organization Management
The Center for Healthcare, Innovation, Education and Research (CHIER) and
the Health Organization Management program at Texas Tech University is
pleased to announce the creation of a Post-Doc appointment in Health
Services Research in the Rawls College of Business. The post-doctoral
appointment will focus on research in healthcare sector with special
emphasis on outcomes, quality, efficiency and value.
The HOM Post-Doc is a two-year appointment focused on providing a recent PhD
graduate (or other terminal research degree such as ScD, DrPH, etc.)
graduate with further training in fields relevant to Health Organization
Management. Working under the direction of the Faculty of the HOM program,
applicants will gain experience in teaching, research and grantsmanship.
Position requirements and responsibilities:
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. within the past 3 years or will have
completed their degree prior to December 2008.
Ideal candidates have a strong quantitative analytical background.
Demonstrated research and formal training in manipulating large data sets
(and the associated programming and data management skills), econometrics
and social network analysis, and knowledge of statistical software (such as
R, SAS and SPSS) is desirable.
