I find myself reading the two-mode centrality section in Borgatti and
Everett "Extending Centrality" in Carrington, et. al. Models and Methods in
Social Network Analysis. I am reading a description of Table 4.3.2, "the
second column is the raw degrees of the nodes, and the third column gives
the standard normalization proposed by Freeman for ordinary single-mode
data." What I'm missing (a gap in my education) is the formula by which
"the standard normalization proposed by Freeman for ordinary single-mode
data" can be calculated. Can anyone give me a hand?
