Tracy Kennedy, Lee Rainie, Aaron Smith and I have a Networked Study in
the Media too today. It's in the Washington Post, USA Today, AFP, and
probably you can actually hear me doing a taped interview on "Future
Tense" (NPR).
It's about the Pew Internet study, "Networked Households"
www.pewinternet.org
While its not "network science", it is network substance. We provide data
showing how American households spend lots of time during the day
connecting with each other by mobile phone and the Internet. No more does
Daddy Stan go over to work, living Mommy at home and the kids at school --
all disconnected. However, we also find lots of traditional togetherness,
on nights and weekends, with most families eating family meals together
most nights.
YMMV, but most readers of this list are atypical.
