Dear Sustainability Partner,
As many of you may know, the United Nations Foundation is
challenging
university students to raise their school???s green grade in this
years
Climate Crews <http://www.thepeoplespeak.org/climatecrews>
contest.
We have partnered with the Sustainable Endowments Institute to
put
student???s actions at the center of the rising trend to rank
colleges
on their sustainability practices.
No matter if it???s a current recycling club or goal to start a
clean
transportation project, Climate Crews is your contest. Check out
the
details online and note that because of heightened interest, we
have
extended the project submission deadline to December 12th, 2008.
Winners will receive:
?? An all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. where you
will
meet with leading experts on climate change and sustainability at
the
UN Foundation headquarters.
?? A free Sustainability Endowment workshop on your
college
campus from SEI. What would normally cost your program,
departments,
clubs or administrators hundreds of dollars is going to be paid
for by
us!
?? A mini-grant to help offset the costs of your campus
project.
?? Projects will be highlighted on the UN Foundation and
SEI
website. It is a chance to raise your school???s ???green
profile!???
While not all universities and colleges were graded in the recent
College Sustainability Report Card, we don???t care. We will
accept the
top ten stellar submissions from any school, student group,
class,
campus project, you name it! Just show us that you want to
effectively increase your green grade on your campus.
Contact us with any questions and remember to put December 12th,
2008
on your calendars!
Sincerely,
