IF YOU HAVE ALREADY VERIFIED THE INFORMATION FOR (1),(2),(3),(4) IN GIMS (Graduate Information Management System), THANK YOU! You should review (5),(6),(7) as needed.

If you have not yet verified (1),(2),(3),(4), please do so immediately. Review (5),(6),(7) as needed.

(1) Verify Degree Program and Supervisory Committee:  5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009.    

You are responsible for making certain that the degree program information on file at the Graduate School is correct.  This information is located in the Graduate Information Management System (GIMS).

All changes to your degree program-including degree title, college, major, and, if applicable, minor and or concentration--must be entered into GIMS by your academic unit no later than 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009.    

All changes to your supervisory committee (including a change from thesis to nonthesis option) must be entered into GIMS by your academic unit no later than 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009.   

If there are changes, you must contact your academic program staff person IMMEDIATELY.  Graduate School staff DO NOT make changes; only the academic unit makes changes.

If there is incorrect or missing data about your degree program or supervisory committee AFTER March 5, 2009, you will be deleted from the degree list for Spring 2009. You will need to register and apply for your degree in another semester.

(2)  Final Graduation/Late Degree Application Deadline:  5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009.    

If you have NOT already submitted a degree application through ISIS (electronic process) or a late degree application (manual, paper process), the final late degree application deadline for Spring Semester 2009 is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009.  The application is available at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/pdf/latedegreeapp.pdf.  Graduate students should not submit the petition portion of the late degree application packet.

Submit your late degree application to UF Graduate School Student Records (160 Grinter Hall).  There is no fee. 

NOTE: Late degree applications for Spring 2009 will not be accepted by the UF Graduate School after Thursday, March 5, 2009 deadline

(3) Credit Transfer Deadline:  5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009.    

The Graduate School must receive all requests for transfer credit from academic units by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009.

(4) Submission of Concurrent and Nontraditional Doctoral/Master's Degree Program:  5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009.    

It is YOUR responsibility to make certain that the Graduate School ([log in to unmask]) has a complete packet of materials for participation in a concurrent and or nontraditional doctoral/master's degree programs, INCLUDING up-to-date programs of study no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009.

(5) Grade Resolution Deadline: 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, May 4, 2009

Review your transcript on ISIS for problematic previous term grades.  

Grades of H, J, N or NG must be completely resolved with a final grade POSTED TO YOUR TRANSCRIPT by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009.  CHANGE OF GRADE FORMS "IN PROCESS" WILL NOT SATISFY THIS REQUIREMENT.

 (6) Grade Point Average Requirements: 

Students are required to have a 3.00 overall grade point average and 3.00 major (and minor, if applicable) grade point average to graduate.
